I want to thank everyone for a terrific 2008.  We have had an outstanding year and are proud of our farm "family".

All the best for a great 2009!

December 12, 2008 our vet confirmed that our mini donkey, Emma, is expecting!  We are so excited but we all have a long wait as she isn't due until next summer.

Details of classes:

  • Centered Riding is essential for a strong foundation in any riding discipline. So for the winter session, Melanie and I want to focus on the four basics and grounding fundamentals. These classes will be mostly un-mounted. We will utilize the mini trampoline, the physio balls, balance boards and more to help our students strengthen their base in order to reach their individual riding goals.   All “Center Riding Essentials” will only have 3 students per class to better focus on the individual goals of each student. The fee for these classes is $180.

  • “Giddy-Up Club” is for young horse enthusiasts. This class will also incorporate some of the Centered Riding basics as well as, expanding their horse knowledge. This class is mostly un-mounted with a maximum of 4 students per class. The fee for this class will be $120.

  • I have found “Bal-A-Vis-X” very beneficial for students balance, coordination, focus and overall listening skills. Bal-A-Vis-X is a great brain and body warm up for all of us. These classes are held in the classroom and utilize; balance boards, physio balls, sand sacks and racket balls. There will be a maximum of 4 students and the fee is $75.

Policies

Credit of lesson fees is available only under the following circumstances:

  • If a student must withdraw for medical reasons
  • If a cancellation is initiated by us for instructor illness (we will offer a make-up)

Absences:

Lessons will be held rain or shine with appropriate indoor riding and/or un-mounted lessons.  Please tell your instructor if you will be absent from your lesson, this will avoid having the class wait for you.  We are unable to schedule make-up lessons.  So please make every effort to join us on your scheduled lesson day.  Students who fail to give notice more than 3 times may be asked to give up their spot.

Dress Code:

All students participating in our traditional program and accelerated lessons are required to follow a dress code for their comfort and safety.

All students are required to wear a helmet which we have for our students to use if they do not have their own.  Boots with a heel or paddock boots are required.   Riding breeches or jeans with half-chaps are preferred.  If you decide not to invest in riding attire right away please make sure your child wears loose fitting jeans or pants.  Hair should be back in a pony tail and out of the students face.  Please do not have your child arrive for lessons with shorts, capris or crocs.

For students that primarily ride on bareback pads it is acceptable to wear sneakers, but pants are still required.

If you have any questions about proper riding attire and where to purchase it just ask myself or Melanie.
